Fox Sports Enterprises Senior VP MITCH HUBERMAN is leaving the media giant to pursue other career opportunities. Huberman, who ran Pac-12 Properties for the last 12 years, led sponsorship and event entitlement sales for the property, including the Pacific Life entitlement of the men’s basketball tournament. The L.A.-based exec also has worked on marketing programs for the Dodgers, Clippers and Staples Center. Meanwhile, DAVID BROWN, IMG College’s Regional VP for the Northeast, which includes the Big Ten and Big East properties, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Brown, a former Associate AD at Ohio State for 10 years, left the school for IMG College after the company won the Buckeyes’ multimedia rights in '09 (Michael Smith, SportsBusiness Journal).

MAKING THE MOVE: Several members of the Thrashers organization are "expected to remain" with the franchise as it moves to Winnipeg to become the Jets. Staff expected to make the move include Dir of Player Development MARK DOBSON, Manager of Player Development RYAN BOWNESS, Video Coach TONY BORGFORD, Head Scout MARCEL COMEAU, Pro Scout JOHN PERPICH and Amateur Scouts TAVIS MACMILLAN, MARK HILLIER and EVGENY BOGDANOVICH. Also potentially staying with the franchise is Assistant GM LARRY SIMMONS, who has been "doing some work with the Winnipeg group and is likely to take on a new role with the Jets" (GLOBEANDMAIL.com, 7/14).

EXECS: The Indians promoted BOB DIBIASIO to Senior VP/Public Affairs and CURTIS DANBURG to Senior Dir of Communications (Indians)....The CFL Winnipeg Blue Bombers named OSSAMA ABOUZEID interim CEO. AbouZeid, who will be the franchise's first CEO since LYLE BAUER left in December '09, will also remain Project Manager of the team's new stadium (WINNIPEG FREE PRESS, 7/14)....Aspen Skiing Co. VP/Marketing JEANNE MACKOWSKI is "stepping down after almost 11 years in the post and a total of 13 years with the company" (ASPEN TIMES, 7/13)....The Cavaliers named WES WILCOX GM of their new NBA D-League affiliate in Canton. He will also remain Dir of Player Personnel for the Cavs (AKRON BEACON JOURNAL, 7/15)....The Breeders' Cup appointed BRET JONES to its BOD and re-elected ROBERT MANFUSO and RICHARD SANTULLI to the board. Each director will serve a four-year term (THOROUGHBREDTIMES.com, 7/13)....Syracuse Univ. named Temple Univ. Senior Associate AD, Sports Administration HERMAN FRAZIER Deputy AD & Chief of Staff (Syracuse).
