Browns Will Launch New Radio Show This Summer; Vic Carucci To Host

The Browns yesterday announced a new radio show titled, “Cleveland Browns Daily,” according to Nate Ulrich of the AKRON BEACON JOURNAL. The show is scheduled to air "year-round" on WKNR-AM from 6:00-7:00pm ET Monday through Friday. The Browns have hired NFL.com columnist Vic Carucci to serve as host of the show, which will launch later this summer (OHIO.com, 6/29). Browns Senior VP/Business Development Jim Ross said that he “could not reveal particulars of the deal’s financials.” But he added that the Browns "were not simply buying the air time and then controlling ad sales." Ross: “It’s a partnership; we both have some risk and opportunities.” Ross said that the club saw “no conflicts with other exclusive programming the team offers, such as the extensive Browns coverage on cable partner SportsTime Ohio” (CRAINSCLEVELAND.com, 6/29).
