Overnight Nielsen Ratings: NASCAR Sees Gains For Sprint Cup, Nationwide Series Telecasts

TNT earned a 3.0 overnight Nielsen rating for its coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway yesterday from 3:00-6:30pm ET, up 20% from the telecast last year. TNT has now seen gains for each of its three Sprint Cup telecasts thus far this season. ESPN earned a 1.0 overnight for the Nationwide Series Bucyrus 200 at Road America on Saturday from 5:30-9:00pm, up from a 0.9 overnight for the race last year on ESPN2.

LAWN CARE: NBC saw declines for each of its Wimbledon telecasts this weekend. Saturday’s coverage earned a 1.2 overnight, down from a 1.5 rating, while Sunday’s telecast earned a 1.0 overnight, down from a 1.2 last year. ESPN earned a 0.7 overnight for its coverage from 7:00am-1:00pm Saturday, up slightly from a 0.6 rating last year.

RISK MANAGEMENT
: CBS earned a 1.6 overnight Nielsen rating for the final round of the PGA Tour Travelers Championship yesterday, which saw Fredrick Jacobson win his first Tour event. That overnight is down from a 1.8 rating for the final round last year. CBS did see gains on Saturday, with coverage of the third round earning a 1.2 overnight, up from a 0.9 last year.
