PRIME NUMBER: Fox averaged a 2.8 rating and 4.6 million viewers for its primetime MLB coverage last Saturday. The 2.8 rating was the net's highest for its Saturday MLB package since the same figure in July '08, and the 4.6 million viewers were the most since 4.8 million viewers in June '07 (Fox).

HEY NOW, YOU'RE AN ALL-STAR: Speed earned a 2.4 U.S. rating and 4.2 million viewers for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race last Saturday night from 7:00-11:35pm ET, up 4% and 11%, respectively, from a 2.3 rating and 3.8 million viewers last year. The telecast finished last week as the 12th most-viewed program on all of cable TV (Austin Karp, THE DAILY). Speed also earned its highest rating in the men 18-34 demo for the race in three years. Also, Fox is seeing gains among key male demos for its Sprint Cup telecasts this season, notably a 19% increase among men 18-34. The ratings increase for the All-Star race came despite on-site technical issues during driver introductions, which delayed the start of the race by 30 minutes (Speed).
