A Natural Fit: Randy Couture Likely To Be In Next "UFC Undisputed" Video Game

UFC fighter Randy Couture said that it is “likely he'll be an available character in future versions” of THQ’s "UFC Undisputed" video game, “after being a notable exception in its past two releases,” according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN.com. Couture during a “contract dispute with the UFC” in ’08 signed with EA Sports "to be featured in its mixed martial arts game.” The contract with EA Sports “prevented him from appearing in the 2009 and 2010 version of ‘UFC Undisputed,’ even though he resumed fighting for the promotion before the games were released.” Couture said that the EA Sports deal has expired and he is “available to make his debut in the THQ game.” UFC President Dana White confirmed that “discussions have taken place with Couture, however no official deal has been reached.” White: “We do not have a deal with Randy yet" (ESPN.com, 4/27).
