Shawn Hunter Hired As Co-Chair Of Quiznos Pro Challenge Cycling Event

Colorado’s Quiznos Pro Challenge bicycle race has hired sports business veteran and Denver local SHAWN HUNTER to work as co-Chair alongside race founder RICK SCHADEN. “We’re determined to make (the Quiznos Pro Challenge) one of the most exciting sporting events in the world,” Hunter said in a release. Hunter comes to the race after being MLS Chivas USA President & CEO from '07-10. Hunter previously was AEG Sports President & CMO, where he oversaw 11 sports teams as well as the Amgen Tour of California bicycle race. Also joining Hunter with the race is BRIAN FARRIS, who will fill the role of COO and was previously Senior VP/Operations at Quiznos. The inaugural Quiznos Pro Challenge runs from Aug. 22-28, and is the second-largest international pro bicycle race in the U.S., behind the Amgen Tour of California.
