THE NFL COMES A-CAROLING: CBS' NFL coverage is
averaging a 9.6/21 after 16 weeks, down 8% from a 10.4/24 a
year ago. CBS' Colts-Dolphins broadcast was seen by 87% of
the country. CBS' "NFL Today" is averaging a 2.7/7, down
10% from a 3.0/8 to the same point last year....Fox is
averaging a 10.7/23 through 16 weeks, down 3% from a 11.0/24
a year ago. "Fox NFL Sunday" is averaging a 3.9/11 through
16 weeks, up 3% from a 3.8/11 last year.
WINTER WONDERLAND: ESPN's broadcasts averaged a
0.51/(403,824 HHs) for nine games down 9% from a
0.56/(430,529 HHs) in '99. In the 18-34 demo, the ratings
were up 12% to a 0.65 from a 0.58 last year (THE DAILY).
