SEE ME, FEEL ME: NFL RUNS NEW HOLIDAY-THEMED IMAGE SPOTS

The NFL is "freshening its 'Feel the Power' campaign
with a trio of animated spots tied into" Halloween,
Thanksgiving and Christmas, according to Terry Lefton of
BRANDWEEK. The campaign, called "Wired for Sound," combines
"animated NFL coaches and players with actual game audio."
A spot with Bruce Smith, Kordell Stewart and John Randle
breaks on Halloween, while a Thanksgiving spot includes
cartoon representations" of Junior Seau, Stewart, as well as
coaches Mike Ditka, Bill Parcells and Steve Mariucci. A
Christmas ad "in which various NFL luminaries sit in Santa's
lap" is "under development" (BRANDWEEK, 10/18 issue).
ALOHA, DISNEY: Lefton also reports that the NFL "will
again hold Pro Bowl balloting" at Champs sporting goods
stores, beginning in November, and will support "via window
displays in the 600 Champs stores and ads in" SI, ESPN
Magazine and The Sporting News. Additionally, the NFL will
move its made-for-TV Quarterback Challenge to HI "for at
least the next two years." The event has been held at
Disney's Wide World of Sports in FL, but "numerous sponsor
conflicts and some generous incentives from Hawaii induced
the NFL to change the site" (BRANDWEEK, 10/18 issue).
