FACILITY NOTES

The Cleveland City Council has come "close to reaching"
its hiring goals of minorities and women for construction of
the new Browns stadium, but the number of city residents
hired for the project "is significantly below" what the
council sought. The council's stadium consultants said that
25.1% of construction workers at Browns Stadium have been
city residents, compared to a goal of 40%. Minorities have
accounted for 23.5%, compared to a goal of 25%, while 6.4%
of the workers have been women, compared to a goal of 7.5%
(Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 5/23)....Financing for the Broncos
new stadium is "nearly nailed down," as Norwest Bank
Colorado has been named bond trustee for the $260M in bonds
which will be issued in late June or early July to pay for
the new facility (DENVER POST, 5/21)....T'Wolves Owner Glen
Taylor and Target Center exec Dana Warg "might be close to
making a deal to buy out the Ogden Company" for ownership of
Target Center (Sid Hartman, Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 5/22).
