HBO SEEKS OUT FORMER COSELL COLLEAGUES FOR DOCUMENTARY

          HBO Sports is "trying to dig up the dirt" on Howard
     Cosell for an upcoming documentary entitled, "Howard Cosell:
     Telling It Like It Is," according to Robin Kamen of CRAIN'S
     N.Y.  HBO recently ran an ad in the New York Law Journal
     seeking former classmates and colleagues of Cosell, as the
     company is looking for people "who might have known him in
     the early part of his career."  The documentary is scheduled
     to air "by the end of 1999" (CRAIN'S N.Y., 3/22 issue).
