TECHNOLOGY NEWS: PVI TO HANDLE SUPER BOWL VIRTUAL SIGNAGE

          NJ-based Princeton Video Image (PVI) was named the
     exclusive provider of electronic imaging services for non-
     U.S. broadcasts of Super Bowl XXXIII and XXXIV by NFL Int'l. 
     PVI will also be the exclusive provider of video insertion
     services for int'l broadcasts of '99 NFL regular season and
     playoff games and '99 NFL Europe League games (NFL).  
          KEEPING UP WITH TECHNOLOGY: The NTRA is collaborating
     with Marquee TV, PVI and Fox Sports to introduce a "virtual
     finish line" -- similar to the NFL virtual first down-
     markers -- during Fox's January 30 broadcast of the Donn
     Handicap (Langdon Brockinton, SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 1/11
     issue)....The English Premier League has selected CT-based
     Imadgine Video Systems as the provider of electronic image
     insertions for the league's weekly int'l broadcasts. The
     broadcasts reaching more than 100 countries will feature
     both the insertion of global sponsors' logos and virtual ad
     space that will be sold on a country-by-country basis (Andy
