          ABC has "terminated" the health benefits of 2,000
     locked out NABET employees.  The benefits are being picked
     up by NABET's parent union, the Communications Workers of
     America (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 11/25)....Montreal-based
     Transcontinental Publications Inc. has acquired NJ-based
     Preview Sports Publications.  A source said that
     Transcontinental, which publishes The Hockey News and had
     sales of $60M in '97, would "probably" buy more U.S.
     publishing companies in '99 (MEDIA CENTRAL, 11/25)....Pat
     Summerall will host the taped Sun Microsystems Par 3
     championship at 1:00pm on Thursday, his first golf event for
     Fox (USA TODAY, 11/25)....The MLS Rapids will have all 32
     games broadcast on Spanish radio KMXA-AM in '99 (Rapids).
     ...The 15.1 rating for the Patriots-Dolphins game pushed the
     "MNF" season rating to within 5% of last year's 13.9 (USA
     TODAY, 11/25)....The NFL on Fox, the Salvation Army and the
     Cowboys took out a full-page ad in USA TODAY promoting Randy
     Travis' halftime performance during tomorrow's Cowboys-
     Vikings game (THE DAILY)....The Rolling Stones will appear
     on ESPN2's "X in Concert" tomorrow, in a special episode of
     the alternative sports-themed series (ESPN2).
