ESPN INTERNET'S PHILLIPS RESIGNS CITING "PERSONAL REASONS"

          Tom Phillips, President of ESPN Internet Ventures (EIV)
     and ABC Sports Online, "has resigned unexpectedly citing
     personal reasons," according to BRANDWEEK.  EIV VP/
     Programming Production Geoff Reiss will serve as the Interim
     GM, handling day-to-day operations of both sites (BRANDWEEK,
     9/22).  EIV had no comment on Phillips' resignation, but
     maintained that it was his decision" (CNET News.com, 9/22).
          IT'S GO-TIME: Disney and Infoseek "plan to name their
     joint Internet portal service" the Go Network, which will
     launch in the fourth quarter.  The site will be found at
     www.go.com (DAILY VARIETY, 9/22).  Although the Disney brand
     "won't dominate the service," Infoseek President Harry Motro
     said that Disney sites, including ABCNEWS.com and ESPN.com,
     will be featured "prominently" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 9/22).
