EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          Saatchi & Saatchi PLC promoted KEVIN ROBERTS to CEO,
     effective January 1.  Roberts has been with the agency for
     15 months (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 8/11)....MLS named ED LYNCH
     as Dir of Business Development.  Lynch, who spent the last
     seven years as Dir of Client Business Development at
     ProServ, will oversee MLS's corporate relationships and
     development of new sponsorships (MLS)....Former Mighty Ducks
     GM JACK FERREIRA has accepted the position of VP/Hockey
     Operations with the club (Mighty Ducks)....JEFF HUTCHEON has
     been promoted to General Sales Manager for Fox Sports
     Southwest (FSSW)....Houston Chronicle Staff Writer JOHN
     LOPEZ will write a sports column for the paper four times a
     week (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 8/8)....JEFF MORANDER was named COO
     of the IHL Wolves (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 8/11)....MA State
     Athletic Commission Chair WILBERT MCCLURE resigned
     yesterday.  McClure joined the commission in '93 and became
     Chair two years later (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/11)....LISA DE
     MORAES, formerly of The Hollywood Reporter, will replace
     Washington Post TV columnist JOHN CARMODY (USA TODAY, 8/11).
