          FOX RATINGS: The D'Backs have been a "powerful lead-in"
     for "Fox Sports News Prime Time" in the Phoenix market.  On
     nights when the show airs after games end at 10:00pm PT or
     later, viewership is up 233%, to a 1.0 rating.  Earlier
     ending times "trigger" a 133% increase.  Statewide, the Fox
     show averages a 0.3 in the 10:00-11:00pm PT slot, compared
     to ESPN's 0.4 rating.  Fox Senior VP/Media Relations Vince
     Wladika: "We're just happy we are up.  If they're [ESPN]
     down, that's their problem, their concern.  It has nothing
     to do with us" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 6/14).... For its 31 Mets
     telecasts before the team acquired C Mike Piazza, FSNY
     averaged a 1.52 rating.  Since the Piazza trade, the rating
     has increased by 30%, to a 1.97 (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 6/14).
          NOTES: In N.Y., Bob Raissman wrote that FX "will soon
     begin unveiling plans for a new boxing series" (N.Y. DAILY
     NEWS, 6/14)....ESPN's "The Sports Reporters" changed its
     name to "ESPN Magazine's The Sports Reporters" (THE DAILY).
