          TENNIS NEWS: TENNIS WEEK's Eugene Scott writes that
     tennis "took a back seat to other sports" at the Super Show
     in Atlanta.  Scott suggests a "tennis-only show" in the
     future (TENNIS WEEK, 2/26)....Boris Becker is featured in
     advertisements for the relaunch of the Mercedes A-Class,
     that will begin running Thursday in Germany (REUTERS, 2/25).
     ...CMG Worldwide and ProServ have assumed licensing
     responsibilities for Stan Smith (TENNIS WEEK, 2/26 issue).
          NOTES: A federal jury was unable to reach a verdict in
     a lawsuit over whether the maker of Louisville Slugger bats
     has exclusive rights to use signatures of pro ball players.
     The batmaker, Hillerich & Bradsby, will seek a new trial
     (AP/DETROIT NEWS, 2/25)....The NASCAR/ARTGO series, which
     competes at selected paved short tracks throughout the
     Midwest, has been named the RE/Max Challenge Series.  The
     title sponsorship is the first of its kind for the series
     formerly known as the ARTGO Challenge Series (NASCAR).
     ...McDonald's unveiled the "Beef Wennington" in Chicago
     yesterday, a new hamburger named for Bulls C Bill
     Wennington.  The quarter-pound burger, which includes bacon
     and BBQ sauce, will be available at more than 470 McDonald's
     franchises (CHICAGO TRIB., 2/24)....Hill Holliday, Connors,
     Cosmopulos, acquired by Interpublic, will continue to
     operate independently under CEO Jack Connors (AD AGE, 2/25).
