GENDER REPORT CARD: REPORT CHARTS WOMEN IN THE FRONT OFFICE

          At "most teams" in the four major sports leagues,      "upper management is overwhelming still male," according to     Rachel Bachman in Sunday's OREGONIAN, who examined "Women In     The Front Office."  While women fans have increased, they     still hold "less than" 10% of sports' executive jobs.  At     the NFL, for example, of the 30 teams, 23 "do not have one     woman at the vice president level or above."  But there are     "signs that women have made their presence felt in men's pro     sports" as women "have their largest presence in public     relations and marketing, meaning they can shape the public     image of pro sports."  The following is a breakdown of the     number of women who hold the titles of CEO, CFO, COO,     President or Vice President in the four major pro sports     leagues.  NOTES: Sources are each sports league.  Figures     are current as of October (Portland OREGONIAN, 11/9).
