          SGMA's Athletic Footwear Association and Footwear Market     Insights (FMI) tracks the retail dollars spent on U.S.     athletic footwear.  FMI surveys 25,000 households three times     a year, with a 62% response rate.  The survey results are     reliable by +/- .2% at the 95% confidence level.  The sample     is balanced to reflect the population as a whole (SGMA):
