AS THE MILLENNIUM NEARS, ESPN LOOKS AT THE "SPORTSCENTURY"

          ESPN will review the greatest sporting events,
     athletes, coaches and developments of the past 100 years as
     part of an 18-month series of programming entitled
     "SportsCentury," to debut next September.  "SportsCentury"
     will consist of programing totalling approximately 60 hours,
     beginning on September 7, 1998, with "Millennium Moments,"
     which will review the greatest sports memories of the
     century for each calendar day.  Other "SportsCentury"
     programming aired in '99 include: 49 programs reviewing the
     top 50 athletes (the final show will review the top two);
     "SportsCenters of the Decade," six two-hour programs that
     will review 1900-49, the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s;
     and programs that review the greatest coaches and games and
     the most influential individuals in sports (ESPN).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
