MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          N.Y.-based Omnicom Group has agreed to acquire St.
     Louis-based Fleishman-Hillard Inc. for cash and stock. 
     Fleishman-Hillard clients include Anheuser-Busch (N.Y.
     TIMES, 4/10)....ESPN's Jim Caple, on MLB alternate jerseys:
     "Forget about a commissioner, what baseball needs most is a
     fashion consultant" (SportsZone, 4/10). ...President Clinton
     is expected to announce a "landmark agreement" next week on
     labor standards for American factories worldwide.  The deal,
     being finalized by a coalition of consumer groups and
     apparelmakers, including Nike and Reebok, will set "codes of
     conduct" covering issues such as maximum work speeds
     (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 4/10)....Chris Evert will headline a day
     of tennis in MN on Saturday, conducting a Play Tennis
     America clinic and participating in a tennis exhibition in
     the Mall of America (USTA).
