TED WILLIAMS LICENSE PLATE TO BENEFIT JIMMY FUND FOR CANCER

Ted Williams was at the MA State House on Friday to unveil a
new Ted Williams license plate, proceeds from which will benefit
the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund for children,
according to Thomas Palmer of the BOSTON GLOBE. The legislature
must pass a bill before the licenses can be sold through the
Registry of Motor Vehicles, but "that could happen shortly after
the first of the year." Vehicles with the plates, featuring
Williams in "mid-swing," will be eligible to use the Ted Williams
Tunnel anytime, similar to commercial vehicles (BOSTON GLOBE,
10/26).
GRANT'S CANDY BAR: Grant Hill will have a press conference
Wednesday at the Palace at Auburn Hills to launch his Grant Hill

Makers for the partnership. This is the same company that
introduced the Isiah Thomas Bar in '91. Hill's bar is described
as a "smooth blend of milk chocolate and crispy rice" (DETROIT
