BRAVES EXPLORE NAMES FOR NEW STADIUM

Braves President Stan Kasten says the club plans to rename
Olympic Stadium before the end of the '96 campaign, according to
Gary Caruso of the ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE. Caruso predicts
the Braves will utilize a "two-pronged solution" similar to
Baltimore's Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Names being mentioned
include tributes to Hall of Famer Hank Aaron and former Atlanta
Mayor Ivan Allen, who played a major role in luring the Braves
from Milwaukee. The possibility of a corporate sponsor also
exists. Meanwhile, the club is close to signing with the Atlanta
History Center to operate a museum at the new ballpark which
would display memorabilia of the team's history in Boston,
Milwaukee and Atlanta (ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE, 8/12).
