     During NBA Draft coverage, TNT's Kevin Kiley reported one
reason Shaquille O'Neal may leave Orlando is a growing "jealousy"
over attention and endorsement deals given to teammate Penny
Hardaway (TNT, 6/26)...."Looking for some insurance" from running
back Lawrence Phillips, the Rams don't intend to guarantee his
signing bonus and may make it "play for pay," according to Rams
President John Shaw (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 6/26)....Montreal
Alouettes Owner Jim Speros said he would fight the Quebec
government's plan to back out of a anticipated $1.375M no-
interest loan for his team.  Speros: "I won't take no for an
answer" (HAMILTON SPECTATOR, 6/27)....Bruce Saurs, Owner of the
IHL Peoria Rivermen, said he has "softened his opposition to
sharing" San Antonio's Freeman Coliseum with the CHL Iguanas and
is "strongly considering" moving his team there in the next
several weeks (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS NEWS, 6/26).
