     3Com, sponsors of S.F.'s 3Com park, launched an Internet
competition -- the 3Com "Triple Crown Challenge" --designed to
encourage online learning.  Students use the Web and the 3Com
Park Web page to answer trivia questions on school subjects as
well as sports.  The game was launched in conjunction with the
Giants-Dodgers series.  Address:

magazine is going online.  A Web page is under construction
(REFEREE, 5/96 issue)....BRANDWEEK profiles efforts to reach
college students via the Web, with a focus on ESPNET SportsZone's

GM Tom Hagopian, noting they got over 120,000 entries in their
three-day entry period:   "People got shut out because it was so
popular" (BRANDWEEK, 4/15)....Authentic Fitness Corp. has signed
Neal Marshad to design and produce a Web site for Speedo with
