WEDNESDAY WEB SITES OF THE WEEK

It's springtime. Are you ready for some football? If
you're European, the NFL hopes so. The World League has started
its second season of action since returning from its self-imposed
hiatus. And not to be outdone by its American-based brethren,
the league and its six teams have a Web site, located at
http://www.worldleague.com. Interested in seeing whether the
European sporting press is giving the WLAF any play? Several
papers in WLAF cities -- Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Dusseldorf
(home of the Rhein Fire) -- are on the Web. A quick check of
some sports pages yesterday yielded no examples of coverage. For
London, see http://www.the-times.co.uk for The Times of London or
http://www. telegraph.co.uk for The London Telegraph. Or you can
grab your Berlitz guide and head to http://www. telegraaf.nl for
Amsterdam's De Telegraaf, http://rp-online.de for Dusseldorf's
Rheiniche Post, and http://www. Elperiodico.es for Barcelona's El
Periodico (THE DAILY).
