MLB'S TV RIGHTS DEALS: TEAM-BY-TEAM ROUND-UP

     Today:  The American League. The following list comes from
the current issue of BROADCASTING & CABLE.  "YEAR" = status and
length of current deal (B&C, 3/25 issue).

buy time on WKBD, retaining most ad inventory.  MSG Network holds
Yankees' rights, shares revenue with WPIX.

Brewers retain TV and radio rights.  A Brewers' cable deal is
under negotiation with Group W.  CBS/Westinghouse, which owns
Midwest SC and WCCO, holds all Twins' rights.  There are also 20
PPV Twins games on Midwest SC.

     NOTES:  Disney is negotiating to sell KCAL, but could still
buy the Angels.
     NATIONAL LEAGUE NOTES:  The Braves, WTBS and SportSouth are
all owned by Turner.  The Expos retain all TV and radio rights.
The Mets and WWOR share revenue.  The Phillies and WPHL have a
partnership, producing and selling games and retaining ad
revenue.  The Cubs, WGN and Chicagoland are all owned by Tribune
Co.  SportsChannel Cincinnati holds all Reds rights and buys
broadcast time.  The Rockies retain broadcast rights.  The Giants
retain seven 30-second spots per game on KTVU, and are
negotiating a multi-year extension with SC Pacific (B&C, 3/25
issue).
