resigned to become the National Ad Dir of Golf Illustrated (AD
AGE DAILY, 2/20)....Agent MICHAEL STEIN has joined new venture
Warner Bros. Sports Licensing (WBSL)....HARLAN STONE has been
promoted to Managing Director of Advantage Int'l and will direct
the company's new International Properties Division
(Advantage)....Former LPGA Commissioner CHARLES MECHEM, JR., will
serve as a special consultant to the World Golf Village
(PGA)....SANDY PURDON was elected President of the San Diego
Int'l Sports Council (SDISC).... MARK CLODFELTER was named Asst
Manager for Sports Marketing Enterprises' NASCAR Winston Racing
Series program (NASCAR News, 2/24)....STACY TUBIOLO joins
SportsChannel New York as Dir/Production Services (BROADCASTING &
CABLE, 2/19).

     IN Gov. EVAN BAYH and IU coach BOB KNIGHT have teamed to
create an anti-drug and alcohol video that will be shown to
students in the state (DETROIT NEWS, 2/21)....Former Raider/Fox
NFL analyst HOWIE LONG is profiled in USA TODAY for his role in
the film "Broken Arrow" (USA TODAY, 2/21). ....Bills QB JIM KELLY
has closed his Buffalo, New York Sports City Grill bar and
restaurant (MIAMI HERALD, 2/20).
