MEDIA NOTES

     The final rating for Saturday's NHL All-Star Game on Fox was
a 4.1 and a 7 share.  That marked a 64% increase over the last
All-Star Game, a 2.5/7 on Jan. 23, '94. It was Fox's highest-
rated NHL broadcast ever, and it was the highest-rated NHL
telecast since the '80 Stanley Cup Finals game between the Flyers
and Islanders, which drew a 4.4/17 (Fox Sports).....Other
ratings: ABC's Figure Skating special on Saturday evening drew a
10.7.  The R&R Skating Championships on Fox drew a 9.9 (DETROIT
NEWS, 1/24)....Salt Lake Organizing Olympic Committee
Spokesperson Mike Korologos said the IOC's sale of Australian
broadcast rights to the Seven Network will give the SLOOC $2.85M
more than projected.  The SLOOC may receive another boost when
the IOC sells European TV rights (SALT LAKE TRIBUNE, 1/24).
