     Bulls Coach PHIL JACKSON will appear on this weekend's
"Industry Week's Management Today" on CNBC to discuss his Yen
management book.  The show airs at 10:30am both Saturday and
Sunday (CNBC, 1/18)....SHAQUILLE O'NEAL is featured in this
month's ESQUIRE.  O'Neal, on his pending free-agent status:  "I
love Orlando, and I believe I'll be in Orlando in the future
unless they want to just throw me away like Charlotte did Alonzo
Mourning" (ESQUIRE, 2/96)....Tennis great ILIE NASTASE has
officially announced his candidacy for mayor of Bucharest,
Romania (USA TODAY, 1/19)....The Alberta Securities Commission
yesterday charged CFL Stampeders President LARRY RYCKMAN for
blatant stock manipulation and ordered him to pay C$493,000.
Barring an appeal, Ryckman will have to step down from his post
with the team (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 1/19)....Former USOC Exec
Dir DON MILLER died Wednesday in Colorado from lung cancer.
Miller was 75 (Colorado Springs GAZETTE-TELEGRAPH, 1/19).
