EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     The USOC announced:  JOHN SMYTH as Dir of Training Centers,
PATRICE MILKOVICH as Dir at the Colorado Springs Olympic Training
Center, and JACK FAVRO as Dir of the Lake Placid Olympic Training
Center.  In addition, CHRIS VADALA has been named Asst Dir of the
USOC's Member Services, and LAURA ZAPPA will join the USOC as Dir
of Broadcast Marketing (USOC)....The following were appointed by
Nashville Mayor PHIL BREDESEN to that city's Sports Authority:
Former U.S. Track Coach ED TEMPLE; Country Music Association
President KITTY MOON; Gaylord Entertainment Vice Chair DICK
EVANS; Vanderbilt Law School Assistant Dean ANNE BRANDT;
Nashville Chamber of Commerce Chair DENNY BOTTOROFF; SunTrust
Bank VP KEVIN LAVENDER; attorney DICK LODGE; attorney ROBIN SAXON
MERRITT; and real estate developer TED WELCH.  The Authority will
manage the sports efforts, including ironing out a lease deal
with the Oilers (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 12/15).
