     BRUCE MCCAW, who has a controlling interest in Orca Bay
Entertainment in Vancouver, is also into IndyCar racing.  He owns
a team called PacWest Racing which is profiled in the VANCOUVER
SUN.  McCaw: "Our goal is to be one of the top teams in IndyCar
racing.  We're pretty close to that now, only it's a little more
crowded than it was" (VANCOUVER SUN, 8/30)....On GQ's "Overrated
List":  Being the host city of the Olympics; Pat Riley;
righteousness about Ticketmaster; converting to Islam in jail;
Agassi vs. Sampras; Reggie miller; the Baseball Hall of Fame (GQ,
9/95 issue)....JULIA RUTH STEVENS, daughter of BABE RUTH, on the
"Curse of the Bambino":  "I can never in my life remember my
father ever wishing the Red Sox any ill will. ... Heaven's no, my
father wouldn't think of putting a curse on the Red Sox" (BOSTON
HERALD, 8/29)....The Phillies' JIM EISENREICH has met with
screenwriter RICK HILL, who is "shopping a script" of
Eisenreich's story for a possible feature film.  Eisenreich
overcame a battle with tourette's syndrome that threatened his
career (PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 8/29).
