COCA-COLA DEBUTS NEW TV SPOTS FOR "CLASSIC" -- SANS BEARS

"Continuing its successful effort to target specific
audiences, particularly younger consumers, Coca-Cola Co.
unveiled 11 new commercials Thursday for its flagship brand,"
according to Chris Roush in today's ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. "The
spots, the core of a fall advertising campaign for Coke Classic,
continue the successful 'Always' campaign." The spots were
produced by CAA and "continue Coca-Cola's emphasis on its well-
known icons, the contour bottle and red disc." One spot, "Thrash
Coke," features "a grunge version of the 'Always Coca-Cola'
jingle; another features a soulful version of the tune; and
another features a "King Kong-like gorilla choosing between a
beautiful blond woman and a bottle of Coca-Cola Classic." Many
of the commercials have no dialogue, allowing them to be shown
globally (Chris Roush, ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 8/11).
