DANIELS SAYS LPGA CONTINUES TO SUFFER FROM WRIGHT'S COMMENTS

     LPGA player Beth Daniels said that players must continue "to
defend themselves against allegations that lesbianism has damaged
the women's tour."  Although it has been six weeks since the
furor surrounding CBS golf analyst Ben Wright's alleged comments
about women's golf, Daniels said players "are getting sick and
tired of answering the same questions."  Daniels: "Ben Wright can
hide behind CBS and that writer can hide behind her paper.  Our
tour has had to suffer" (N.Y. POST, 6/27).
