OMNI APPRAISAL A KEY FOR ARENA NEGOTIATIONS IN ATLANTA

6.23.1995

     The public board that owns the Omni ordered an appraisal of
the 23-year-old facility because the appraisal will help the city
negotiate with the Hawks and Owner Ted Turner, according to the
ATLANTA CONSTITUTION.  Chair of the Atlanta-Fulton County
Recreation Authority Davetta Johnson-Mitchell: "This is the key
to the city having equal footing in these negotiations.  We know
what assets we bring to the table" (Michelle Hiskey, ATLANTA
CONSTITUTION, 6/23).
