MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

     Lynx Golf has signed as a supporting sponsor for the '95 &
'96 PGA Club Pro and PGA Senior Club Pro championships.  Other
event sponsors:  Le Coq Sportif, Fila and Adidas....Colgate-
Palmolive introduces the Skin Bracer Sports Collection by Mennen,
two gift sets with a baseball theme for Father's Day and
Graduation.  The sets contain a specially designed set of three
Skin Bracer baseball cards featuring memorable moments in
baseball history (BRANDWEEK, 3/27 issue)....While Adidas is shut
out of the Final Four via any of their schools making it to
Seattle, the company will convert an empty building near the
championship site into a restaurant/ shoe store.  Dick Vitale, an
Adidas endorser, has a sandwich on the menu -- billed as having
"too much tongue" (Michael Hiestand, USA TODAY, 3/27)....The NHL
and NHLPA have allowed Topps to launch its newest line of cards,
Topps Finest hockey cards, scheduled for release May 16
(Topps)....The Blackhawks still do not have a "traditional three-
star selection after each game" because they could not find
anyone willing to sponsor it (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 3/27)....The
Prince of Wales is teaming up with Coca-Cola to launch a non-
alcoholic drink called Duchy No. 1 & Duchy No. 3 for sale in
Britain and Northern Ireland.  The drinks will be made from
fruits grown on the royal estates.  Charles is also exploring the
marketing of a video cartoon with Walt Disney Co. (ATLANTA
CONSTITUTION, 3/28).
