     Mighty Ducks officials announced the opening of three stores
which will carry the same Mighty Ducks merchandise and
collectibles available at the two Team Stores during the holiday
season.  A fourth store is scheduled to open November 23 and all
will remain into January '95 (Mighty Ducks)....Foot Locker
announced the opening of its 200th European store in Stuttgart,
Germany yesterday (Foot Locker)....UNC will be presented the
inaugural Sears Directors' Cup this Saturday during the UNC/NC
State football game.  The Sears Directors' Cup recognizes the
school with the best collegiate all-sports record in Division I
women's and men's competition (Sears)....Pennzoil shares rose
4.8% yesterday after the company settled a potential $1B tax
liability for $454M.  Shares rose $2.375 to $52 (N.Y. TIMES,
10/28)....A WALL STREET JOURNAL profile of Young & Rubicam notes
that the agency is bidding for the Disney Cruise Lines account.
The article also reports that Chairman Alex Kroll is retiring at
the end of a "winning streak" for Y&R accounts in '94.  CEO Peter
Georgescu will succeed Kroll (WALL STREET JOURNAL,
10/28)....Eastman Kodak marketing adviser John Sculley, formerly
of PepsiCo and Apple, is "putting his support" behind the idea of
advertisers paying for the information superhighway and is said
to emphasize digital imaging in his efforts at Kodak (WALL STREET
JOURNAL, 10/28)....Marvel Entertainment Group is attributing its
37% profit gain in the third quarter to growth in consumer
products, licensing, toys and entertainment trading cards.  The
company said that this growth "offset softness" in comic books
and sports cards (VARIETY, 10/28).  Marvel is the parent company
of Fleer sports cards....The Philadelphia Department of Licenses
and Inspections confiscated 960 Wendy's burgers from one
franchise at the "peak of lunch hour" because the burgers weighed
approximately "a fraction of an ounce" less than the advertised
pre-cooked weight of a 1/4 pound.  The patties in question were
taken into protective custody and donated to a homeless shelter
and orphanage (PHILA. DAILY NEWS, 10/27).
