MEDIA NOTES: LOS TIBURONES DE SAN JOSE

     The Sharks became the 4th NHL franchise to broadcast its
games in Spanish.  KLOK-AM, a Spanish-language radio station will
broadcast all home games (THE DAILY).... Paramount is expected to
buy WSBK-TV (Channel 38) in Boston, a satellite super-station.
But Jim Baker asks, "How can a fifth network grow on a Bruins-Red
Sox-Celtics station?" (BOSTON HERALD, 10/11)....Michele Tafoya
joins CBS Sports as a reporter and host for CBS' "Eye on Sports"
series and college basketball....Prime will kickoff its second
season of Avis Arizona Fall Baseball League coverage.  It is
offering its cable affiliates six regular season games, including
three that will include Michael Jordan's Scotsdale Scorpions (THE
DAILY)....Raycom plans to pitch a '96 national college football
package that would be composed of the various regional
conferences for which the syndicator sells the ad time (INSIDE
MEDIA, 10/5-18 issue)....CNN's Jan Hopkins reported CBS stock
climbed to 336 1/4, "the stock is now up almost 50 points since
the beginning of the year.  A big factor behind the gains:
speculation a change of ownership is in the works" ("Moneyline,"
CNN, 10/10).
