California Stays Top State Among World Series Ticket Buyers

The average resale ticket price for tonight's Dodgers-Rays World Series Game 6 is $900, according to data from SeatGeek. That is below Games 3 ($902), 4 ($1,175) and 5 ($952) despite tonight being a potential series clincher, but above Games 1 ($724) and 2 ($620). It is also fairly in line with recent Game 6's: $1,198 in '19 (Nationals-Astros), $881 in '17 (Astros-Dodgers) and $1,461 in '16 (Cubs-Indians). The get-in price is just under $400, and there is inventory still available on the resale market for basically every section in Globe Life Field.

The sight of Dodgers fans descending on Arlington is likely to continue as since the series was set, California makes up 43% of the ticket-buying traffic, more than any other state. Texas is second at 31% and Florida third at 5%. SeatGeek Communications Manager Chris Leyden noted over the past 24 hours, "we still see 38% of those looking at tickets coming from California, despite needing to fly in order to make it to the game today."
