OneTeam Media's First Podcast Launches Today On Audible

The first podcast created by OneTeam Media, a division of OneTeam Partners, goes live today on Audible, the start of what execs hope will become a thriving business. “On the Clock” is hosted by former NFLer Chris Long and follows three draft picks as they become NFL players during the pandemic and the nationwide protests after the George Floyd incident. The podcast drops about a month after “The Gronks,” a OneTeam-driven YouTube channel devoted to all things Gronkowski brothers. The stars of the new podcast are Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, Broncos WR KJ Hamler and Bengals DE Khalid Kareem. They produced it themselves due to the pandemic restrictions on business.

OneTeam, a joint venture of the NFLPA, MLBPA and RedBird Capital Partners, thinks these kind of content creations can supercharge athletes’ path to stardom -- and create a brand-attractive collection of athlete vehicles that will draw serious ad revenue, said CRO Nick Frasco. “We’re making sure the platform is there, and these athletes are able to promote themselves and be known, and then with OneTeam specifically, because we have the ability to scale, the scale is the ability to monetize it,” Frasco said.
