Hinchcliffe Lands Software Firm Genesys As IndyCar Sponsor

IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe has landed a new sponsor for this season in cloud customer-service software company Genesys, giving him sponsorship for the month of May, including the Indianapolis 500. Hinchcliffe has been looking for a new team and sponsor since his former team Arrow McLaren dropped him during the offseason. The sides will announce the deal this afternoon but are not revealing full details, including the team Hinchcliffe will drive for or the paint scheme. Rahal Letterman Lanigan has been mentioned as a top option.

Hinchcliffe will likely just run a partial season in ’20, and Genesys will at least sponsor the two races at IMS during the month of May: the 500 and the IndyCar Grand Prix. Hinchcliffe is represented by Spire Sports & Entertainment. Genesys is based in California but has a large office in Indianapolis.
