ESPN+ Adds Slate Of NHL Games, Sports Business Series

ESPN+ is scheduled to air more than 180 NHL games in '18-19 regular season. The slate of games, which will include up to nine games a week during the regular season and two per day on Thursday and Saturday, will begin Oct. 4 with Capitals-Penguins. ESPN+ will continue to broadcast its nightly hockey show, “In The Crease,” hosted by Linda Cohn and Barry Melrose. It will be made available on-demand every night, with the new season debuting Oct. 3.

Meanwhile, ESPN and Thirty Five Media, owned by Thunder F Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman, are partnering to create "The Boardroom," a new sports business-themed show available exclusively on ESPN+. The six-episode series will be hosted by ESPN's Jay Williams, with Jordan Schultz as a correspondent. Durant and Kleiman, who get exec producer credits, will be featured in the content of the show.
