RISE Hires Diahann Billings-Burford As Its Next CEO
The Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality today named Diahann Billings-Burford its next CEO, with the RISE BOD approving the move after a search process that began earlier this summer. She succeeds Jocelyn Benson, who has led RISE for two years but is now departing to pursue elected office in Michigan. Billings-Burford most recently served as Time Warner Exec Dir/Cultural Investments and Time Warner Foundation VP. Prior to that, she held a series of senior positions in the city government of N.Y. RISE was founded by Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross (RISE).
