MLS Expansion Committee Morphs Membership, Expands By One

MLS' expansion committee has expanded and changed members in the last year. When MLS announced last December the process for its expansion to 28 teams, the committee was chaired by the Revolution’s Jonathan Kraft and included the Fire’s Andrew Hauptman, the Crew’s Anthony Precourt, Orlando City’s Phil Rawlins and the Union’s Jay Sugarman. Rawlins, who stepped down as Orlando City President last December, and Precourt, who announced the club is exploring strategic alternatives including moving it to Austin this week, have both since left the committee as a result. The committee has also been expanded by one member.
