Comcast Lands Olympic Channel's "Dream Team Week" Sponsorship

Comcast’s Xfinity cable brand has acquired the presenting sponsorship of the Olympic Channel’s “Dream Team Week” presentation beginning Sept. 28. The new cable channel plans to air every original broadcast of the USA men’s basketball team in the '92 Barcelona Games, the first time NBA players could participate. One game will air each night for eight days. Xfinity branding will be on billboards, bumpers, opens and closes in the broadcast, along with a presence in live streams and social media content. Comcast, a USOC sponsor, owns NBCUniversal, which is a co-owner of the new channel along with the USOC and IOC. Terms were not disclosed.
