John Mara: "Good Chance" Two NFL Teams Will End Up Playing In L.A.

NFL Giants President & CEO John Mara today made an appearance on WFAN-AM’s “Boomer & Carton” and discussed the NFL’s L.A. aspirations and international expansion. Mara, on NFL teams moving to L.A.: “I think L.A. will certainly happen, and I think there is a good chance there will be two teams playing there next year in a temporary facility.” Mara, on the L.A. teams needing to share a stadium: “It is so expensive to build these buildings these days, and the public funds are just not there.”

Mara also discussed the possibility of the Super Bowl being played outside the U.S.: “There may be some owners that might be intrigued by that, but I don’t see us going outside for a Super Bowl.” Mara said of a London franchise: “I don’t think it’s completely out of the realm of possibility.
