NHL Playoff Ticket News: Jets, Senators Sell Out Quickly For Round 1

The NHL Jets sold out of playoff tickets "in mere minutes this morning." There were "only about 1,000 tickets available through Ticketmaster or at the MTS Centre box office for Games 3 and 4 of the Jets' first-round series" with the Ducks. The club said tickets were gone in "less than five minutes" (WINNIPEGFREEPRESS.com, 4/14).

The Senators also sold out of tickets for Friday's Game 1 against the Canadiens. A "new policy for Round 1 ticket sales" made it "a priority to sell tickets only to people with postal codes in the National Capital Region, Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec" (OTTAWA SUN, 4/14).

Meanwhile, the Flames are in the playoffs for the first time in six years, and tickets can be re-sold "for whatever price they can fetch." So far, that is "adding up to thousand-dollar markups on the sweetest seats" (CALGARY SUN, 4/14).
