3M To Sponsor Jeff Gordon's Ride, Parting Ways With Greg Biffle In '15

Hendrick Motorsports today announced that 3M has agreed to a three-year deal to sponsor the No. 24 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chevrolet driven by Jeff Gordon. 3M will be a primary sponsor in 11 races annually from '15-17, remaining an associate partner in all other events (Hendrick).

3M currently sponsors the Roush Fenway Racing's No. 16 Sprint Cup Ford driven by Greg Biffle, who now has a "glaring sponsorship need" for '15. When RFR announced that Biffle had re-signed with the team, it said that there were "sponsorship opportunities available" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 8/12). Roush Fenway Racing President Steve Newmark tweeted, "We have some exciting '15 partnership announcements for the No 16 coming in the next few weeks and look forward to sharing soon" (TWITTER.com, 8/12).
