Sources said that “barring a setback, U.S. speedskaters will resume competition Saturday in an older racing suit from Under Armour, abandoning the apparel maker’s much-hyped high-tech Mach 39 suit that debuted at these Games.” U.S. Speedskating is seeking approval from the Int’l Skating Union “to revert back to suits worn during World Cup competition this season” (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 2/14).

Mattel and the WWE on Friday announced a multiyear extension of their toy licensing agreement through '19 (WWE).

Lacrosse apparel company Adrenaline announced a deal to become an official MLL partner, providing sideline apparel items to all MLL teams. The licensed gear also will be available to fans following a spring retail product launch (MLL).

Celestron telescopes on Friday announced a sponsorship deal with golfer Jimmy Walker. The agreement includes installation of astronomy equipment at a dark-sky site in New Mexico that Walker can access via the Internet (Celestron). See some of Walker's astrophotography.
