Fox' Andrews On Sherman Interview: "We Want The Real Stuff"

Fox' Erin Andrews appeared on "The Dan Patrick Show" this morning to discuss her much-publicized postgame interview with Seahawks CB Richard Sherman. Andrews: "The people that are shocked about this and upset ... how much have you and I wanted a moment like that? ... He lost his mind and it was awesome, for once. He never threatened me, he never accosted me or the camera, and I never was frightened." Patrick noted, "Fox has never shied away from personality being on display." Andrews said of the social media reaction, "People were saying, 'Oh, poor Erin Andrews.' No! I was in his world. We don’t want him to back down, we don't want a watered-down, tame Richard Sherman. We want the real stuff" ("The Dan Patrick Show," 1/20).

Meanwhile, Sherman's postgame rant continues to make waves on Twitter. ESPN’s Matt Barrie: “Sherman provides entertaining TV and fiery emotion. So what. It's fun to watch.” Fox/SportsNet N.Y.’s Kevin Burkhardt: “As someone who does ‘walk-off’ interviews, Richard Sherman gave you everything you wanted- Raw emotion, honesty. I liked it.” SI.com’s Richard Deitsch: “Somewhere on his secret Facebook account, I know Roger Goodell hit the like button on Richard Sherman.” ESPN.com’s Mike Wells: “People upset over Richard Sherman's antics but it was all good when Reggie Miller was talking n holding up the choke sign to Spike Lee.”
