MLB Rangers Decreasing Ticket Prices On About 94% Of Seats
The MLB Rangers are decreasing ticket prices on about 94% of seats at Rangers Ballpark for next season and have "lowered the number of 'premier' games by eight." The team today said that "more than 34,000 seats have a price decrease" between 4-19%. The Rangers in '13 were one of eight teams in MLB "with at least 3-million in attendance and want to stay in that club." They will use dynamic pricing in '14 via a partnership with Qcue, "which adjusts ticket prices higher or lower based on market demand" (STAR-TELEGRAM.com, 1/9).
Meanwhile, the Rangers today announced a three-year deal with Jack Daniels that includes naming rights to the Diamond Club at Rangers Ballpark. The Jack Daniels Old No. 7 Club, which includes a full buffet and bar, will be open to all season-ticket holders before and during home games (Rangers).
